We know this is asking a lot, but please look away from the new Twitter for just a second, because there are more exciting news in the pipeline. Ross Hoffman, a team member of Twitter, a business developer, recently discussed an up and coming without dashboard analysis to help Twitter users to understand how others interact with their tweets.

The base of the solution is Trendly, Twitter Analytics provider acquired in June. Trendly was known for highlighting some necessary changes in web traffic, and it sounds like they produce technology for a new bridge. According to Hoffman, the solution primarily to inform users of what they’ve done viral tweets and the users of their networks have been influential.

Why is it important? Well, Twitter, kicked some third-party companies to control the release of their new user interface, and we expect some pain like that, this new vision of Analytics hit the scene in Q4. companies such as Google Analytics and Omniture Klout have to work twice as long as if they assume that their Twitter applications to compete with free, baked-in solution.

In addition, it is interesting to think of Twitter and its efforts to look into an all-in-one solution for something we cannot quite feel yet (do not call it a social network).

Both the vice president of Twitter for business and corporate development Kevin Thau, Executive director, Evan Williams recently talked about how Twitter is a place of exploration news and information, but an analytics dashboard promotes a realm of social media marketing.

Maybe Twitter wants to be a Swiss-Army-knife type of solution, just like Google. Since the solutions to keep coming and third-party applications to go forward, what do you see yourself mainly using the platform?

Is The Perrier YouTube Video Successful?

Nearly 10 million views have been logged in just a couple weeks. http://www.youtube.com/perrier Any campaign generating that performance on line is very successful.

The Hook

The higher the views, the hotter the video. Perrier, set benchmarks for views and when they are hit the video changes to hotter and hotter nightclub scenes. The visuals and music are awesome which makes you want to come back. The more you come back , the more the brand is embedded in your mind. Perrier is wanting to convert those views into incremental sales.

Social Media Marketing Synergy

Perrier offers viewers the options of sharing on Facebook, Twitter and to email the link to friends. Is this working? I discovered this video from a share on Facebook. If you visit the Perrier Page on Facebook you will see nearly 50 million likes. You will also see an expanded campaign for LeClub Perrier which is linked to the video. Perrier has absolutely succeeded in creating a buzz. Thing is, with the video showing very sexy people who are literally hot. Watching the video can have you thinking about a drink. Perrier is betting a percentage buys and drinks Perrier.

Great Job Perrier!

This is an amazing opportunity:

New Digital Media, Inc. is the company I founded following the successful launch of Manifest Mastermind on January 7, 2009. The launch was achieved using social media marketing to build a list and develop relationships. This business was developed with only social media marketing tools and primarily Facebook and in the final months before launch Twitter was also used.

I knew the work that was required to build a social media marketing funnel since I did that work. I also knew there was an opportunity for creating a “do it for you business” and that was the idea behind New Digital Media, Inc.

My point in telling you this background is to establish I am experienced and successful using social media to build business profits. That is important if you are considering who is going to teach you and especially important to you since compensation will be based on the revenue your work generates. The right person will soon see that this compensation arrangement is very lucrative.

The Right Person

1. Coachable

2. Loyal

3. High Energy

4. Professional in person, on the phone and on line

5. Creative

6. Must have active accounts on Facebook, Twitter….active accounts on Linkedin and YouTube a bonus. Having an active blog is a major plus.

7. Understands and appreciates the importance of developing clients by adding value to their business.

8. Fun to work with

9. Location – U.S. Tampa Bay given preference

10. I will bring on as many people as I feel comfortable training.

11. Major bonus for you …you will be able to use all you learn and develop your own business. We only agree you will not compete with me. In fact I will help you develop your own business as I am an international consultant and coach to companies and business owners.

Next Steps

Email me a letter or resume as to why you want this opportunity. Include links to your social media accounts, website or blog if you have them and any other information that you feel would help me appreciate your value. Time is of the essence and I want to have an expanded team in place early 2011.

Thank you and for considering this opportunity and I look forward to hearing from you.

Alan Bechtold is a legend – Google him and when you click on the link below join his mailing list. Comment on his articles and when you do tell him Steve Pohlit sent you. Then share this idea with your friends. See that is one way social media works. Share the wealth of great content.

I have met Alan several times and while I don’t know him well personally, everyone who does loves the guy and gives him the highest ratings as an on line and off line marketing expert.

OK so you get the picture. Alan’s latest article talks about the importance of branding and especially for social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. What is really cool is how he gives you a great solution then suggests an alternative that is likely more affordable.

This is well worth your time to read and credible advice. I know I have some branding work to do for my businesses and as well as clients of New Digital Media, Inc. Click Here now for Alan’s article

About 300 to 500 jobs are posted on Twitter per minute, according toCarmen Hudson, CEO and co-founder of Tweetajob. With that many shared opportunities, the task of filtering information becomes daunting — that’s why we have hashtags. They can help you focus on the tweets you want to see along with the ones you didn’t even know existed.

Hudson, whose company sends job tweets that match a job seeker’s location and career interests, says the numbers are true but come with a caveat. “Many of these jobs are duplicates, or from aggregators. It’s likely the number of real opportunities could be much lower. There is quite a bit of ‘job pollution’ on Twitter, because the job boards and many employers don’t target their job tweets.”

Nonetheless, the jobs are still there. The key is finding them. As a way to filter through the noise, Hudson recommends job seekers use hashtags to take full advantage of Twitter’s search functionality.

Here are six hashtag categories that might be useful in a job search, along with some examples of what you could look for. For those who are new to Twitter or just need a refresher, check out this overview of hashtags.

Did you know that if Facebook was a country, it would now be the third largest country in the world?

Statistics can be interesting and these are. However, most everyone know the growth in social media is huge. Here are several ways I use Social Media

1. Research: finding answers to questions using Google and YouTube is very valuable for me.

2. Developing “like minded” relationships. I have developed themed groups on Facebook and I know the people who have joined those groups are interested in the information I share.

3. Expanding the development of business using informative articles posted to blogs and inviting people to those articles on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.

Those are the Top 3 for me. What about you?

The author has a great reason why his 15 reasons are the worst ones for using social media for your business. This is a recommended read.

The 15 Worst Reasons to Use Social Media For Your Business

by Eric Fulwiler

I am a heavy supporter of social media as a valuable business tool, but only when it is used for the right reasons, and in the right way. Sometimes it’s easy to convince yourself that your reason for using social media for your business is right when it’s actually wrong. So, here it is, in black and white, the 15 worst reasons to use social media for business.

15. Because it’s free to sign up

14. Because you like the idea of going viral

13. Because you heard the buzz about the South by Southwest conference

12. Because you have friends who are successful bloggers

11. Because you can automate many social network feeds

10. Because the 400 million people on Facebook are a new population to advertise to

9. Because other companies have made millions of dollars on Twitter

8. Because the other companies who have used social media have received positive PR

7. Because you read that people trust social network contacts

6. Because you think it’s all return and no investment

5. Because you read a case study in which another business used social media successfully

4. Because consumers are spending more time online

3. Because someone told you that social media was the next big thing

2. Because everyone else is doing it

1. Because you should

Social Media sites are always changing their features, benefits and more. Recently I planned a teleseminar and set up a Facebook Events page as part of the promotion. I also invested in a Facebook Ad for the event and the ad took people to the my Events Page. For this campaign that ad was successful. I could track people confirming their attendance for the event.

I implemented a comprehensive marketing plan for this event and that resulted in nearly 1,500 people registering for the event. About 500 registered on the Facebook Event Page. So watching these stats I was feeling good about the results especially since most people don’t come near driving that many people to an teleseminar. 24 hours before the event I went to message all who registered with the information on how to connect. BAM!! …I discovered I was not able to message the 500 people who registered for the event on the Facebook Events Page…Major disappointment.

Next Time

1. I continue to recommend building groups. I don’t advise against fan pages. However, groups still receive my highest recommendation.

2. I continue to recommend positioning messages where you can communicate with those interested in your offer. Find them using Twitter and Facebook.

3. Don’t waste your time on Facebook Events unless they change and you can message those registering. This was a feature that was active in the past and I do not see it active now.

4. Use Twitter as part of your strategy to drive those interested to a squeeze page for your event. You squeeze page should be set up for name and email capture into your auto responder.

5. Be sure to set up you teleseminar so it is recorded and have an offer so people can still register after the live event is over.

6. I am cautiously recommending Facebook ads. There is some typical marketing hype going around about Facebook Ads including at least one course for several thousand dollars on Facebook Ads. Hold onto your wallet.

This the kind of stuff speakers tell you from the front of the stage where you have paid hundreds and maybe thousands to hear. So here it is for no charge . How cool is that?
